This Privacy Policy explains how NightMurmur handles information when you use the app.
Audio and microphone access
NightMurmur requests microphone access only when you choose to begin a recording session. Audio is processed on your device to identify sound moments. Saved clips remain in NightMurmur’s private local storage.
Information we collect
NightMurmur does not require an account and does not collect, upload, sell, or share your audio recordings or session metadata. The app contains no advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process purchase, account, device, and payment information under Apple’s own privacy policy. NightMurmur receives only StoreKit purchase entitlement information needed to unlock features and does not receive your full payment-card details.
Storage and deletion
Recordings and session metadata are stored locally in the app’s private Documents directory. You may delete individual clips inside the app. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to any device backups you control.
Third-party services
The only third-party service used for purchases is Apple App Store / StoreKit. NightMurmur does not operate a recording server or cloud transcription service.
Children
NightMurmur is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your responsibilities
Audio recording laws vary. Only record where you have the legal right and all required consent, especially when another person may be captured.
